We love living in Sunset Hills and wanted to stay in the neighborhood. However we needed a larger home. When we first saw the house, we loved it, but the kitchen was really small and outdated. We decided to purchase the home and "fix" the kitchen, which was on the back of the house, and we thought we would need to build out, which was going to be very costly. Instead, the new plan included taking down a wall and encompassing a small den across the hall. The My Dream Kitchen staff took our ideas and our years of magazine clippings and came up with a kitchen plan that would utilize our existing kitchen in a new way to create a perfect work triangle, open to the new keeping room/breakfast area and a new entrance to our dining room. We have an older home with character and a new kitchen with the personality of an older home as well. Toffee colored UltraCraft cabinets contrast with a black island. The off white subway tiles compliment the 1930's charm. And because no structural outside work was done, we were able to re-use the beautiful window treatments provided by the previous owner.
